  • Cheapest credible start: Brevo or Freshsales

    Brevo has a free tier (300 emails/day) and paid plans from about $9/mo, priced on email volume rather than contacts stored. Freshsales is free for three users and $9/user/mo after that, with AI contact scoring from the $39 Pro tier. If money is the binding constraint, start in one of these and migrate when you outgrow it.

  • Enterprise, or a real sales org: Salesforce

    Sales Cloud from ~$25/user/mo (Starter) to ~$175/user/mo (Enterprise). Agentforce is the most sophisticated AI in the category. It also needs an administrator, and implementation via a partner routinely runs into five or six figures. Right answer for the right company; catastrophic overkill for a plumber.

The three traps

  1. Per-user pricing that ambushes you at hire five. A $39/user tool is $39 until you have a team, and then it is $200 and you are locked in.   2. Contact-based pricing on a list you keep growing. Klaviyo and HubSpot both charge more as your database grows, which means your bill rises whether or not those contacts are earning anything. Brevo prices on emails sent instead — a fairer model that almost nobody copies.
